General Questions

Great question! An agent from a "big company" (a captive agent) can only sell you products from that one company. As independent agents, we work with *multiple* carriers. This means we can shop around for you, comparing rates and coverage to find the absolute best fit for your needs and budget.

Policy & Coverage Basics

Bundling means purchasing multiple insurance policies (like auto and home) from the same provider. Most companies offer a significant discount for bundling, saving you money while simplifying your payments.

A deductible is the amount of money you agree to pay out-of-pocket for a covered claim before your insurance coverage kicks in. For example, if you have a $1,000 deductible on your auto policy and have an accident that costs $5,000 in repairs, you would pay the first $1,000, and the insurance company would pay the remaining $4,000.

Liability coverage pays for bodily injury and property damage you cause to *other* people in an accident. It is required by law. "Full coverage" is a term that usually means you have liability *plus* Collision and Comprehensive. Collision pays to repair *your* car if you hit something, and Comprehensive pays for *your* car if it's damaged by something other than a collision (like theft, fire, or hail).
